Welcome to the “Bike Eldorado” Venosta Valley!
South Tyrollean sunny and mild climate
+ biking area with 2.500 altitude difference
+ numerous flow single trails
+ perfekt bike infrastructure
= Venosta Valley.
According to numberless professional journals, the all mountain and freeride Eldorado between Laces and Resia Pass belongs to the top ten mountain bike spots in the Alps – practically year-round!
Venosta Valley is definitely one of the best MTB destinations in the Alps due to stable and almost rainless weather conditions and its natural finish trails. In the last years a proper mountain bike boom has taken place in the valley between Laces and Lake Resia. The Residence’s regular guests are mostly mountain bikers who appreciate and profit from the guided tours of all levels of difficulty.
After enjoying the legendary flow trails in this part of South Tyrol, you definitely want to come back!
And that’s how Venosta Valley’s fan base rises steadily!
The reason of Venosta Valley’s popularity can be identified easily: The asserted days of sun are about 300!
Okay, we won’t discuss the definition of “sun day”. The point is that the climate of Venosta Valley is particularly dry and sunny. Therefore, mountain biking is possible from March to November without difficulty. And also in the middle of the winter the “sunny mountain” often remains free of snow until 1.500 meters a.s.l.

I know what mountain bikers need...
As a founding member of www.mountainbiker.it and www.vinschgaubike.com ten years ago, I definitely know what bikers dream of and therefore, I offer GPS tours, bike maps, books and especially insider tips. Transalp tours as the Uina Gorge, Stelvio Pass, Val Mora and Madritschjoch and many other dream tours of all levels of difficulty are on the doorstep.
As road biker you’ll probably dream of the Stelvio Pass – the Mecca for all road bikers. It’s a stone’s throw to the starting point and the 48 bends to the 2.758 meters high Stelvio are at your feet. When sleuthing the Giro d’Italia you can also discover several other passes and valleys!
I’ll provide you with maps and GPS tracks. We’ll download the tours on your personal GPS gear or on one of my Garmin plant hires.
